Entr’ages asbl (Belgium)

Entr’âges asbl is a non-profit organization whose goal is to provide
a "meeting place" for all generations. Entr’âges aims to develop
positive attitude towards age, eliminate stereotypes and struggle
against all forms of age discrimination. To rebuild a stronger sense
of community in our culture, we are working to bring together members of all generations. As regards the elderly, we strive to celebrate their unique abilities and honor their special roles.

The organization is more than twenty years old. Generally speaking,
work is done in two ways: first, at the grass roots level, we work
directly with the people (all ages, from seniors to children) we use
and highlight memories of the elderly and share them with
youngsters...creating events to bring them together- and secondly,
Entr'ages undertakes the intellectual work of conducting studies,
maintaining documentation and implementing pilot projects. These two
aspects come together at the conclusion of each project, when we
produce a publication, addressed to a wider audience.
